Jay E. Heit has become President of the Eau Claire Bar Association. Heit will serve a one year term as President. Prior to becoming President, Heit served a one year term as President-elect.
Christina Demuth has become office manager of Herrick & Hart, S.C. Demuth was formerly a legal assistant to Rita Raihle. Demuth replaces the legendary F. Anne Jenson.
Attorneys Heit, Finn, and Sullivan elected to management committee. Jay Heit, Stephanie Finn, and Dennis Sullivan have been elected to the Herrick & Hart, S.C. management committee. Their election is effective on January 1, 2008.

Jay E. Heit and Dennis M. Sullivan have been appointed by Chief Justice Shirley Abrahamson to serve on the District 8 Committee, which is a component of the Lawyer Regulation System. District Committees investigate possible misconduct or medical incapacities of attorneys under the supervision of the director of the office of Lawyer Regulation. District 8 includes the counties of Dunn, Eau Claire, Pierce and St. Croix.
Jay E. Heit has been appointed to the Wisconsin State Bar Professionalism Committee. The appointment is for one year with a term ending on June 30, 2008. The Professionalism Committee is a Special Committee charged with working to maintain and improve professionalism in the legal community.
Jim Duchemin was elected to the Board of Bar Governors representing District 8. Duchemin will serve a two year term. District 8 encompasses many of the counties in West Central Wisconsin.
