New Court Commissioner

Rita Raihle has accepted an appointment to serve as Eau Claire County Court Commissioner.  The Honorable William Gabler appointed her to the position.  Raihle will begin serving the court as a part-time Court Commissioner in 2010.

Law Clerk

Herrick & Hart welcomes Tom Burton as its summer law clerk.  Tom has just completed his second year of law school at UW-Madison.


New Associate

Vanessa KLemish has joined the law firm of Herrick & Hart, S.C.  Klemish is a 2010 graduate of the University of Wisconsin Law School.  She received her undergraduate degreee in economics and political science from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire in 2007.  She is a 2003 graduate of Bloomer High School.  She will be mainly practicing in the areas of business law, environmental law and estate planning. 


Jay Heit named to Board of Directors

Jay Heit has been named to the Wisconsin Association of Justice (WAJ) Board of Directors.  The WAJ is the largest voluntary statewide bar organization in Wisconsin.  The organization's principal objectives are to promote continuing legal education for the betterment of the trial bar profession; and to preserve Wisconsin's civil justice system by working with the state legislature and other government bodies, as an advocate for the legal rights of Wisconsin citizens.


City Council appoints Jay Heit


The Eau Claire City Council has appointed Jay Heit to the Administrative Review Board with a term that runs from 2010-2012.  The council also appointed Heit to the Special Assessment Deferment Committee with a term that runs from 2010-2013.
