Herrick & Hart is pleased to announce that Attorney Allison V. Shepard has been elected as the incoming President of the Literacy Chippewa Valley Board of Directors. Attorney Shepard has been a member of the Board of Literacy Chippewa Valley since 2019, and enthusiastically supports its mission of empowering adults in the Chippewa Valley through literacy.
Literacy Chippewa Valley is a community-based literacy organization that offers adults the opportunity to gain the skills they need to make a better life for themselves and their families. In addition to providing English as a Second Language instruction, Literacy Chippewa Valley offers Citizenship instruction, Family Literacy, GED instruction, Workplace Literacy, and adult education instruction to incarcerated individuals.
