Insurance Company Stall Tactics

June 2018

Insurance companies have a responsibility to investigate a claim.  After a person is injured, they may receive contact from the opposing insurance company.  In some instances, the insurance company may want to quickly settle for far less than the value of the claim.  In other cases. the insurance company will leave the claim pending with no contact for an unreasonable amount of time.  This is a stall tactic used by the insurance company.  The insurance company may use a stall tactic for different purposes.  One of the purposes is to wear you down so that you grow tired and settle your claim for less.  Another purpose is to let the time run on the statute of limitations.
