How Do I Know if I have a Good Personal Injury Case?

March 2018

A lawyer practicing personal injury law will often be asked the question, "Do I have a good personal injury case?."  Even for an experienced personal injury attorney, this is a difficult question to answer.  A personal injury case is a complicated legal claim.  There are many factors that will need to be analyzed and evaluated before the question can be answered properly.  In a case even where there is clear liability (like when a person goes through a stop sign), a personal injury claim can fail if there are no damages.  A case can also fail if there is no insurance from which to collect a judgment.  A case can also fail where there is immunity provided to a responsible party either by statute or the common law.

As you can see, evaluating a personal injury case is complex and should not be done without the assistance of an experienced personal injury attorney.
